Happy New Year!
I hope that you all had a great holiday – quality family time combined with rest and refreshment…and now are ready to meet the New Year with open arms. I certainly am, although I can’t quite believe that we are already celebrating a year of Cattail Chronicles!
Where does the time go?
Time flies when you’re having fun.
Time you enjoy wasting is not wasted time.
What can I say? It is hard for me to believe that Cattail Chronicles has passed the one year mark! I started Cattail because I wanted to share what I was finding in the book world that was new, interesting and hopefully, helpful to other people like me – mothers, grandmothers, and all of you who are interested in the things children read. It has been lots of fun—and I have “met” lots of people, some only virtually, some personally.
Am I wasting time…absolutely not. And for the most surprising of reasons. I have managed to learn, with help, something that I never would have considered; how to build and manage this blog. I’ve learned a lot about Facebook and Pinterest…Twitter – not so much. Maybe 2014 will be my Twitter year. So, no, no wasted time here.
As the year progressed, I realized that there were other areas – toys, arts and crafts for children, food with children in mind, children’s clothing, rooms for children – that I was also interested in and thought you might be as well. This was really brought home in December when Our Little Darling came to visit and we had lots of time to bake, paint, craft, etc.
So 2014 will mark a change in the material that you see here. If you like what you see, I hope you will let me know. If there is something that you WOULD like to see, please send me an email at firstname.lastname@example.org.
