School lunches are always a problem. What do you do in your family about lunch? Does your school have lunch available? In spite of all the chatter…I still feel that school lunches are, by and large, lacking. Often, I think, children are offered too many choices, resulting in mediocre food and waste.
So what could be better than a lunch box where you could pack child size portions of various foods, including salad dressing/dip/yoghurt etc. without having to send multiple containers for your child to keep up with? Imagine a tray is divided into five ½ cup portions of the key food groups: Fruit, Vegetable, Grains, Protein, Dairy. Plus a small treat or dip well too! And for those children who don’t like their food to touch – Yumbox’s unique single lid seals all food wells individually. Food won’t touch or leak outside of the box.
I thought this sounded like a brilliant idea. And while there have been Bento boxes and other similar products around for a while…I think that just maybe the people behind the Yumbox have finally hit the nail on the head – SUCCESS!
Currently there are several options for Yumbox – you can order a Framboise Pink or a Pomme Green T. You can also order just the tray – which comes without the hard case and would be perfect for meals at home!
And if you need any lunch box inspiration…check out the Yumbox Facebook page for lots of ideas on what to pack for your little one!
So what do you think? Will you try out a Yumbox for your child? Let me know.
