An Exciting Month At Cattail Chronicles
Here is a first for us. We learned a new word and saw a relatively rare bird. The word is leucistic. It is a genetic deficiency resulting in a lack of pigment. The reason we needed to learn this new word is that we had a young leucistic red-winged blackbird. While many of the images of leucistic black birds are not entirely white. There are white patches at various locations on the birds. Ours was completely white.

Lots of News for Cattail Chronicles
Our Location is Changing: We have moved Cattail Chronicles to Monique’s studio. For the first time, we have a dedicated space. Even better, we have an area to display and sell our prints! Our “gallery” is part of Silver Paw Studio’s gift shop in Fort Collins, Colorado. We do have a short video with more details here. The gallery will be open to the public from 9 AM to Noon, Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.
