Thanks to Everyone

Well, our first real Art/Gift Fair is done. Thanks to everyone who stopped by. It was a great success, and we enjoyed the event immensely. Steve acually did most of the peopling, and Monique was our intelligence agent - checking out the other vendors and seeing what insights they were sharing. We learned a great deal about attending these affairs as a vendor. We will be posting a video of what we learned. In the mean time here is a few of our biggest take aways.

  1. Practice setting up your booth ahead of time. Experiment with how everything is arranged. Time how long it takes to set up and take down.

  2. Have something interactive to get people to stop at your booth. This gives them time to browse

  3. Always have someone at the front of the booth greeting people as they walk by.

  4. Have a fix-it kit so that you can fix “anything” that breaks. We had gaff tape, zip ties, velcro strips, glue, plus various tools. They came in handy.

We will hopefully have a video detailing what we learned from the whole affair.

Above is a photo of our booth. The big “print” front and center (or top) is a metal print of “Longs Peak and Mount Meeker in the Distance” as seen from one of the small lakes at Arapahoe Bend in Fort Collins, Colorado. We had it printed large and put it high on our display to attract attention. Right under it is a print of what may now be Monique’s favorite photo. She imaged the spray coming off the moose as it shook itself. This will be one of several good images of moose that day. We will be displaying them on our Instagram page over the next few weeks.
